Who are the best Antenatal Providers in the North East

Tina Stobbs • Apr 27, 2020

An independent review from my past clients.

I recently asked all my past clients about their antenatal experiences and who they best Antenatal Providers were in the North East and this is what they said. The ranking is based on the number of times they were mentioned.

Number One - National Childbirth Trust(NCT)
Their courses are for you and your birth partner - whether that's your partner, friend or relative. You're also welcome to join on your own. You can find the course outline here.

Number Two - Janine Smith
Janine says 'At some point during your pregnancy, you will need to focus on the birth of your baby – to know more about how it all works, what helps, what doesn’t, what your options are, how you can manage contractions and energy and what your strategies might be. It’s about good knowledge and practical skills, questions, realistic expectations and a good dose of feistiness when needed. This helps you and your birth partner become better prepared for labour, birth and any challenges.' You can find her course options here.

This 6 week course consists of weekly sessions covering many aspects of labour, birth and life with a new baby. The groups are small, friendly and informal with a focus on providing couples with up to date, reliable and honest information and an invaluable support network for the early days of parenthood.Follow up support via e mail and telephone is also included in the cost of the course and follow up baby groups are also available to you once you have had your baby. The course is outlined below and is very much group focused and flexible to ensure the personal needs of the group can be met. Details here.

Number four - NHS provided
These are provided by the NHS, and your midwife will provide you details.

So there you go, the best Antenatal Providers in the North East based on feedback from my past clients! And of course if you want to go on to have a newborn shoot - you are in the right place to do that now too! Tina

Here we are, out the other side of the pandemic, and although labelled ‘non-essential’ unlike many others - I survived! I decided someone had too right? So, might aswell be me! And we are growing….expanding if you will.

It’s such a milestone when you look back at their newborn photos and how much they have developed in such a short time. Now they are smiling, moving, eating, and their personalities emerging with vigour. It’s a time to not just celebrate their very first birthday, but all so congratulate yourself on making it through teething, sleep regression, weaning, and those early tempers!
