Its New Years Eve….

Tina Stobbs • Dec 31, 2018

Where has 2018 gone?

It doesn’t feel like two minutes since 2018 started and my blog was still a distant twinkle in my business-planning eye.

And now look at me. Around a dozen posts under my belt, another Christmas wrapped up (pun intended) and 2019 is looming large on the horizon.

It’s been an incredible year for me and my business, but as Christmas shuffles closer I have a favour to ask of all of you.

Capture the moment

Please, this New Year, I beg you to be present in the moment with your loved ones and remember, while all the jollity occurs, to take photographs.

Whether it’s with a lovely, bells and whistles DSLR or on your smartphone, snap away at anything and everything so you can capture the precious moments that will never happen again.

You know, because I’ve told you before, that I’m all about capturing memories for generations to come and my photography services are all hinged around that premise. But it’s in your hands too.

Day to day, whip out your camera and capture the moment. You’ll be so glad you did.

And don’t be the only photographer. Urge everyone with a smartphone to join in the capturing spirit. Different angles, different subjects, different places – it all adds up to a fabulous, informal album of your family. It means you’ll actually be in some of the pictures too!

Turn the camera around and selfie the heck out of everyone in your family – those silly, wobbly, slightly imperfect images will capture the emotion and togetherness of your family moments and will make you smile in the weeks, months and years to come.

I know my family is sick of me getting my phone out and insisting they pose for another selfie, but I don’t care. I have a lovely stash of precious, personal memories with the people who matter most to me – and no one can take that away from me.

I implore you lovely lot to do the same.

Why not share your favourite selfies with me over on my Facebook page – I’d love to see the fun and festivities from your families!

Please and a million thank yous.

2018 in numbers for Captured Forever

And so, by way of a little round up of the year that was 2018, I’m absolutely delighted to share with you a few numbers.

2018 has seen 62 squishy new-borns pass through my editing suite, 25 giggling sitters, 20 gorgeous families and 15 first birthdays too. Such excitement.

On the awards front, I’m over the moon to tell you that I’ve achieved 50 bronze awards and 13 silver awards from the Guild of Photographers – mainly thanks to all your gorgeous small people and their wondrous good looks!

So, all that remains for me to say is a huge and heart-felt thank you to you all for your continued support for me and my business.

I might have mentioned that I love my job, but it wouldn’t be half as much fun if it weren’t for all my wonderful customers and support team – thank you, thank you, thank you all.

2019 promises to be another exciting year from Captured Forever and I’d love to have you all right beside me as I stride out towards new challenges and the fresh months ahead.

Have an amazing festive season with your gorgeous families and I’ll see you all in 2019.

Yours, in festive pictures,

Tina x

Here we are, out the other side of the pandemic, and although labelled ‘non-essential’ unlike many others - I survived! I decided someone had too right? So, might aswell be me! And we are growing….expanding if you will.

It’s such a milestone when you look back at their newborn photos and how much they have developed in such a short time. Now they are smiling, moving, eating, and their personalities emerging with vigour. It’s a time to not just celebrate their very first birthday, but all so congratulate yourself on making it through teething, sleep regression, weaning, and those early tempers!
